I hope that someone w/real world experience will chime in if I am incorrect about this:I believe that the increase in power consumed by your processor is linear - ie if Hardware problems ( other than overheating and memory leaks ) - yeah, they happen but when troubleshooting, KISS. There's a good reason why the MacOS Logo is a Smiling face!
