I backed up my settings.ini file then I deleted the original in the documents/bfbc2 directory and started the game, which creates a new file if the old one is missing. I have Guild Wars 2 and Allods ( the problem started much sooner then installing either.. I made more than one change, so I'm not 100% sure which one fixed it.
