As for the intel updates, I don't see any drivers that are out of date right now so will have to leave it as is. I started updating drivers and changing power settings and eventually it stopped for at least a week.Sadly, it started again. You can also manually turn off Silent Mode at any time. Ever since I got it it´s been shutting down often (blue screen) both while it just sits there idle but more often when I´m playing (mostly Sims and some older games).
