Neither version of Photoshop can display file information via File > File Info. That's fixed it. Right click on any .cr2 file. Save for Web:This command saves the file as JPEG by default but you can select PNG24 from the drop down menu. If I right click the file and choose "open with" followed by "choose default program" I can browse to the 32 bit version of the Photoshop executable in my (x86) folder, If someone runs this maybe you can isolate the keys.

I have tried this with 64-bit CC as well as 32-bit CC. I think what worked was the reg change then reboot then assoc. Then go to Layer -> Transparency -> Add Alpha Channel. Adobe Cc Cleaner Tool Another thought.

And the only way to close it is to Alt-F4. Quite possibly due to the fact that both exe's are named photoshop.exe and using the GUI may not overwrite the appropriate spots in the registry.
So in order to change it you would need to recompile the executable and that's not an option since you don't have the code. DMG Extractor DMG extractor offers a free version which is great for unzipping DMG files, but if your file is bigger than 4GB, you will need the professional version.
