I tried to unplug all the USB devices (except the mouse) and disabling as the possible services, that don't change anything.. The next day it went into sleep mode and it NEVER came out of it. But, overall a Clean install is the only fool proof way to know that all issues (unless hardware caused) are addressed. Same when I select sleep option from start menu. Ditto what "SageDesign" said.
